Fleurs d’Isabella BOHO-style Mini-Book & Box
TESSA WAKES THE WORLD UP set by TESSATELIER for THOUGHTFULSTUDIO
Many ‘hands’ were involved in the making of this mighty mini-journal! The busiest of hands, M with Izzy providing material; P doing bits and pieces, tearing strips to decoupage onto the house that will hold the ever-burgeoning mini-journal. The construction of this journal has allowed M to apply all the skills acquired in card making while adding some new ones to the ever-expanding repertoire of crafting:
SIZE, PAGES & PRINTABLES
The basic size is a little over 3½” x 2” (standard US business card). Each page varies due to the hand-torn edges but overall is quite small.
There are 18 spreads/ 36 pages (6 photo pages) plus the cover, 35 individual photo tags/cards, 10 pockets, a 3-part beaded dangle, and a tassel.
Thirteen embossing folders and four different types of products to add shine (paste, glue, spray, and glaze). Fussy cuts, cut flowers/leaves, rhinestones, ribbons, and thread were all used to embellish throughout.
One very special satin-lined box decorated with strips of the TESSA WAKES papers and some of our very own from Izzy and Patricia.
Eight of the twelve TESSA WAKES THE WORLD UP set by TESSATELIER for THOUGHTFULSTUDIO printables were used to create the “Fleurs d’ Isabella” mini-journal layout. The variations in color were done in various ways (some digitally and others using markers/sprays). As part of Thoughtful Studio’s design team, we have worked closely with Marie & have modified the sheets with her permission.
It sounds so cliche but really “Fleurs d’Isabella” has been a true labor of love from the start! The subject, Isabella, each page, each photo, flower, and embellishment was a joyful endeavor!
