Unique Stamps Part II, Cameo by Izzy
The stamp in this video is a small, unassuming little slice (and we aren’t just talking about a surprise but its potential is as big as the imagination of the wielder! These are a few examples and in writing more come to mind as so often is the case. Limitations are usually self-imposed but readily dissipated by employing a sense of play. Imagine, putting yourself into the body and mind of a 2 yr old and experiencing the world of possibilities. Just play! No judgments, no specified outcome, just going where your fancy leads you. Truly, this is when things happen in a zone of acceptance, of wonderment full of ‘what-ifs’ rather than ‘what-nots’. Muddle about, make mistakes, smear the paint, scribble, color outside the lines! No one is going to see this anyway, right? Then wonder of wonders something happens that is a keeper, or a new technique, or doing something to make the last something that didn’t work, work. Suspending judgment during all this will allow those creative juices to keep on flowing, uninterrupted by that frowny face that says, Oh that sucks, give up, throw it away. With the only agenda being played, the product is put on hold, replaced with the immediacy of just having fun.

This works. Do it. Do it when you’re at a loss for what to do. Do it when you are bored, happy, sad, mad, or glad…it isn’t dependent on a specific state of mind but rather an attitude of willingness to suspend all those adult reactions and replace them with those of a child! Ready, set, PLAY!
