Old is New with Quirky Queens Journals
The June Makers Collaboration theme, Old Is New, presents Quirky Queens Journals using three art items from Michelle Mixed Media in the wonderful #OldIsNew YouTube Mixed Media Swap & Make Hop on June 17, 2023.
The Challenge
Armed with the Old to New theme, and pieces from Michelle, Kirsten sets out to make an altered book with a Flower Fairy theme. Look at the amazing size of the playing cards she received!
The Art
She started with a vintage Golden Storybook and a vision. We see her incredible creativity to bring this fantastical theme of Fairies to life. There are things to fold out, tuck in, and clip on in this extravaganza.

I recognized the inside of her hand-made envelopes, they used that incredible large-scale PM Artist Studio stencil called P’s Circle Rings of Madness.
This is a stuffed show-stopper of a journal that is ready to write and create in. Oh, the stories it will tell!
